Blind Exemption Qualifications

Blind Tax Exemption Guidelines (RSA72:37)

Must be a resident of New Hampshire prior to April 1st of the year you are applying. You must have a letter from blind services of the vocational rehabilitation division of the department of Education. The property on which the exemption is claimed must be your principal place of abode.

The completed (PA29) form and a copy of the letter from blind services must accompany the blind worksheet.

Exemption Amount

$ 15,000 off assessed value

Filing Deadline

The filing deadline is April 15th preceding the setting of the tax rate. Example: If you are applying for an exemption off your 2018 property taxes, you have until April 15, 2018 to file the form.

Notify the Assessor's Office at jwhitten@exeternh.gov with any changes of address as that may necessitate re-applying for this credit.
