What is RSA 79-E?
RSA 79-E is a property tax relief program that seeks to encourage investment in town centers and to rehabilitate under-utilized buildings within these areas. The application process is made to the governing body by property owners desiring to make improvements that meet 79-E guidelines as well as the public benefit test.
The Exeter Building Department provides the Town of Exeter with Building Inspection Services, Code Enforcement and Zoning Administration as well as ADA Compliance.
As of December 1, 2014 - Oil Burner permits will be issued at the Exeter Fire Department located at 20 Court Street ( no longer at the Town Offices Building).
Great Dam Removal - Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) Revisions
The Great Dam was removed in October 2016. The National Flood Insurance Program regulations require documenting flood plain elevations/extents following a dam removal. To update the flood maps a Letter Of Map Revision (LOMR) was prepared. The flood map changes also included improved topographic and hydrologic data. The following firm revisions became effective on November 5, 2018.
