Summons & Petition for Special Town Meeting

Update - June 22nd, 2023: On Thursday June 22nd, the Rockingham Superior Court approved the Town's petition to hold a Special Town Meeting and Election to address phase two of the project. The Town will hold a deliberative session on the evening of July 11th with voting taking place on August 15th.

Exeter, NH - June 1st, 2023: A notice for a Special Town Meeting of the Town of Exeter is on file in the office of the Rockingham Superior Court. Attached to this page, under supporting documents, is the summons alerting the public and all interested parties that may have an interest in the complaint that there will be an Evidentiary Hearing.

The hearing will be held on June 22, 2023 at 10 AM at the Rockingham Superior Court. For more information on how to participate in the hearing, please refer to the attached summons document. 

This is in relation to the Town seeking to hold a Special Town Meeting for the purpose of authorizing additional funds for the Sewer Siphons Project. More information about the project can be found on the Public Works page.
