Temporary Trail Closure - Utility Line Work

Effective October 19th 

The Town of Exeter is issuing a temporary closure of the Watson Road parking lot and sections of the Oaklands Trail network within the Eversource Powerline Right of Way effective October 19th likely through the end of December.

The trail closure will eliminate the ability to pass across the powerline corridor from north to south. 

This closure is necessary to ensure public safety while Eversource works to replace transmission line poles.  Closure signs will be installed onsite within the trail network and at the Watson Road parking lot.  We ask for the public's cooperation in adhering to this closure. 

Click the files below for a map of alternative parking locations and specific closed trail segments.  Unfortunately due to the locaiton of the work, there is no parking lot available for the trails north of the powerlines.  All other trails will remain open.
