Pickleball - Tennis Survey Results

Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, and has recently become very popular. With this survey, we sought to understand the town's interest in this up-and-coming sport. 

Currently, the town courts are primarily being used for Tennis, however with the popularity of Pickleball increasing, there is beginning to be more of a divide. Overall, pickleball courts are wanted in Exeter. 47.6% of respondents voted for standalone pickleball courts at a new location, while another 31.44% voted for standalone pickleball courts at the recreation field. With the majority of respondents favoring standalone pickleball courts, these should be considered. Although tennis courts can be lined with pickleball courts, the vote is split on whether or not this should be done. Lining more courts with pickleball lines may decrease the availability of courts overall in the town, another issue to be considered.
