New Hampshire's Governor is Christopher T. Sununu.  Governor Sununu is a resident of Newfields.  

The Executive Council is a branch of State Government charged with specific responsibilities under the State Constitution.  Exeter is part of District 3.  Exeter is currently represented on the Executive Council by Janet Stevens. Councilor Stevens is a resident of Rye.
