2017 Adopted Budget
The 2017 operating budget was adopted by the voters of the town on March 16th, 2017. The town election, originally scheduled for March 14th, 2017, was rescheduled due to inclement weather. The following budget amounts and articles were approved at the March 16th, 2017 vote:
General Fund Operating Budget - $18,137,426
Water Fund Operating Budget - $3,308,733
Sewer Fund Operating Budget - $2,383,661
In addition to the appropriations above, the town also passed the following bond authorizations:
Article 5: Lincoln Street Area Improvements, $2,802,000
Article 6: Total Trihalomethane Remediation (TTHM), $1,500,000 (Water Fund)
Article 7: Court Street Bridge Construction: $1,381,000
The town also passed the following special warrant articles with appropriations:
Articles 12 and 13: Collective bargaining agreements for SEIU 1984 and NEPBA ($34,256 and $7,879, respectively).
Article 16: Additional Funds for Kingston Road Shoulders project, $305,000 ($120,000 to come from state funds).
Article 17: Town Hall Improvements (staircase): $130,000
Article 18: Washington Street Waterline replacement design, $68,000
