Lincoln Street Commercial District - What Is It?
Located between the downtown area and Epping Road, the Lincoln Street commercial district includes businesses on either side of the 0.4 mile stretch of Lincoln Street. Businesses located on Lincoln Street include Arjay's Hardware, Burnham's Dry Cleaners, Romeo's Pizza, Gerry's Convenience, Lexie's, the Island Cafe, and the Exeter Handkerchief Company. The District also includes the local American Legion Building, Saint Vincent DePaul, Saint Michael's Church, and the Lincoln Street Elementary School. Due to the various populations in close proximity to Lincoln Street, it is an ideal business destination.
The location offers several other advantages to a prospective business:
- Proximity to the Downeaster train station - the busiest NH stop along the Downeaster line is located right in heart of Lincoln Street.
