Park Street Bridge Closure

Effective February 12, 2025, Park Street Bridge is CLOSED until further notice due to the failure of a section of the wooden bridge deck. Please avoid the area and use alternative routes. NHDOT has been notified and will be assessing the situation. Updates will be provided as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience to our residents. Your safety is our top priority. The bridge is owned and maintained by the state and not the Town of Exeter.

UPDATE - March 5th, 2025: NHDOT will be keeping the bridge closed indefinitely due to the deck issue as well as additional deficiencies identified during the most recent inspection. Internal discussions regarding repairs are still ongoing at NHDOT. They will keep the Town informed of the outcome of these discussions.
