2024 Winter Solstice Celebration

Celebrate the Winter Solstice with us!

On Friday Dec 20th, visit the Exeter Public Library NH children's room for a special open art session and make your own paper lantern. On Saturday December 21st, bring your lantern to Raynes Barn at 61 Newfields Road starting at 4:30 for a Winter Solstice Celebration. The Conservation Commission will hand out battery powered tea lights to light your lantern in celebration of the return of longer days. We will have cocoa and a warming fire to welcome you.

Can't make it to the Library? Email Kristen Murphy (kmurphy@exeternh.gov) to arrange for a lantern kit pick up at the offices of Exeter Parks and Recreation, Exeter Public Works, or the Exeter Planning Department between Dec 18-20 from 8a-3p.
