Town Power Outage

Update at 7:00 PM: Unitil added this update related to the cause of the outage. "The issue was a fault on what’s called a sub-transmission line that caused a breaker at the substation in town to open. Crews switched around the issue to restore power and have been patrolling the line since (it is off road) to see if additional repairs are needed. Outage lasted from approximately 9:40 to 10:15 this morning."

Update at 10:25 AM: The Town has regained power. Unitil publishes an outage map which can be viewed on their website for further information. If residents are still experiencing power issues, they are encouraged to contact Unitil's automated reporting system at 1-888-301-7700 or visit their Report an Outage website

Exeter, NH - May 30th, 2023: The Town is aware of a power outage affecting a majority of the Town which started around 9:40 AM. Traffic lights are also affected by this outage, drives are asked to proceed with caution.

The Town Offices are currently without power and are looking into the cause of the outage. 

The Town will have updates as they come in.
