Temporary Trail Closure: Commerce Way Trailhead and Trail to Henderson Swasey

The Commerce Way trailhead and a portion of the trail passes through private land for the first approximately 800' - almost to the junction where the blue trail splits heading north and south.  The landowner is in the process on working on a development plan for his property and will be conducting test pits throughout his land.  

As a result this area will be temporarily closed from May 10th - May 18th.  There may be some impact to the trail from the test pits so it is unknown at this time if trails will be usable after the 18th.  

The landowner has been a great partner for trail events and has graciously allowed trail users to pass through his property to the trails beyond on the Town-owned land for many years.  Please, for the benefit of all, we request your compliance with this temporary closure.  

Access to Henderson Swasey is still open from the trestle parking lot on Newfields Road.
