The Conservation Commission introduces the Hike Exeter Challenge!

Explore new parts of Exeter and earn a unique sticker!

The "Hike Exeter" Challenge is to hike all 6 of the Hike Exeter Routes.  We will announce new hikes monthly here as well as on our facebook page.

Here are the "Hike Exeter" guidelines:

1) We encourage you to share your progress by joining our Hike Exeter Facebook group. *this is optional

2) Upon completion of all 6 hikes, an application to join the Hike Exeter Club can be submitted by email to Kristen Murphy (kmurphy@exeternh.gov) or dropped off at the Planning Department at 10 Front Street in Exeter.  Once approved, the hiker will receive their own personal HIKE EXETER sticker.  Successful awardees will also be announced at the following Conservation Commission meeting held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.  You are welcome to attend in person if you like.

3) Acceptable modes of completing the routes: Hiking, Running, Biking, XC skiing, Snowshoeing

4) Can a dog be a member of the club?  Yes.

5) How can I prove which hikes I've done?  This challenge relies on the honor system.

6) If multiple family members complete the challenge, does everyone have to submit a separate application?  Yes.  Each application will receive a sticker.  Assistance may be given to canine applicants.

7) This challenge is open to everyone, not just Exeter residents.

Below is the Hike Exeter Challenge application.  New hikes will be added after our monthly Conservation Commission meetings (held 2nd Tuesday at 7pm).
