Pay and Classification Plan
Exeter's pay and classification plan covers all non union personnel including regular part-time personnel. The classification plan uses a factor evaluation system to rate positions based on qualifications, skills, and abilities needed for each position. Comparable pay rates are used to establish baseline wage and salaries for each position.
Each position in the pay and classification plan is assigned a grade. Within each grade is a 14 step pay range. Periodically the pay ranges are adjusted based on changes in the cost of living index.
