2025 CO-ED Basketball Grades 1 & 2 Program

Registration will start September 3, 2024

A Youth Basketball Program for SAU16 students in grades 1 & 2. This program is designed to allow the students an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game. We encourage them to enjoy themselves and make new friends. This program does not stress competition but rather, recreation and good sportsmanship.

Registration is open to students of Exeter and surrounding towns, on a first-come, first-served basis, starting on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Registrations accepted at the recreation office during our business hours, on-line, mail or by phone. Payment is required at the time of registration! Fee increases on November 23, 2024.

We do not accept requests for your child to be placed with a specific team, player or coach. If a parent volunteers to coach, your child will be placed on the same team you will be coaching. Siblings will be placed on the same team if they are in the same age group.

Coaches determine the practice day and time therefore we cannot accept day/time requests or team change requests once rosters are completed. We will not issue refunds for schedule conflicts.

Refunds will only be granted prior to the registration deadline. After the registration deadline, refunds will only be granted with a doctor's note for severe illness or injury or, if we can fill your spot with someone from the waiting list.

GRADES: Participants must be in Grade 1 or 2 by the start of 2024-2025 school year.

PRACTICE/GAMES: Practices begin January 6, 2025. One practice will be held Monday-Thursday evenings at 6:00 or 7:00 pm which is when the gymnasium is available for our use. Coaches determine their teams practice night/time. Games are held Saturday’s starting January 11, 2025. Game times depend on number of teams in other programs, but typically start between 10:00am-1:00pm.
