Finance Director

Job Title:  Finance Director, Town of Exeter, NH      

Town with a $33 million annual budget seeks a highly motivated Finance Director.  This is a key position that reports to the Town Manager and manages the day-to-day Town budget and revenue collections.  The position supervises a finance team and works closely with all Town departments and various boards and committees.  

A degree in accounting or a related field and at least 7 - 10 years of high-level finance experience is required. Municipal experience, knowledge of MUNIS software,  and GASB 34 and 45 desired.   Significant fund accounting experience is required.  Knowledge of NH laws and rules is a plus.  Ability to write financial policies and procedures, provide supervisory direction, and participate in public meetings is necessary.   Salary mid to upper 90K DOE, plus excellent benefits.  The position remains open until filled.
