Drafty Windows?  We have a low cost solution....BUT YOU HAVE TO ORDER SOON! 

The Energy Committee has once again partnered with the non-profit organization Window Dressers to bring low-cost Window Inserts to the Exeter area in January 2026. This year we are expanding our eligible towns to include Exeter, Brentwood, East Kingston, Kensington, Newfields, and Stratham.

Due to Rockingham County being recently classified by the U.S. Drought Monitor to be experiencing moderate drought conditions, the Town has issued a Level 4 water use restriction as described in Exeter’s Town Ordinance Chapter 16 section 1610.5 effective September 5, 2025.  The Town water supplies are finite and decreasing with only minor precipitation predicted.

10/10/2025:  The Linden Street Bridge rehabilitation project remains on schedule and is nearing completion. The bridge is anticipated to reopen on or around November 20, 2025, pending coordination of the guardrail installation work and paving schedule. The Town appreciates the continued patience and cooperation of residents and motorists as this important infrastructure improvement is completed.

June 30th, 2025: The Select Board heard updates from NH DOT at their meeting on June 30th, 2025. Public Works and NH DOT updated the board on the current status of the bridge and took questions from the board and the public. To watch the discussion, find the meeting on Exeter TV's YouTube Channel

Fire danger "VERY HIGH"

UPDATE - October 30th, 2025: The state has lifted its prohibition on statewide burning outdoors. The fire danger for Exeter is now lowered from High to Moderate.

How can Exeter become an even better place for walking and bicycling? The Town of Exeter has contracted with Rockingham Planning Commission to gather input from residents - and others who work, shop or recreate in town – and develop a Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan with strategies to improve safety and connectivity for walking and bicycling in Exeter.
