IT Technician

Requirements: The required knowledge for this position includes Windows Desktop operating systems in an Active Directory environment; network hardware (firewalls, switches, wireless access points, etc.); and peripherals (scanners, printers, monitors, webcams, etc.). The required skills and abilities for this position includes the ability to triage and troubleshoot support requests and escalate as necessary; learn new hardware and software, and stay up-to-date with technology changes; communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; demonstrate good teamwork, interpersonal and customer-service skills and attitude; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, town officials, service providers, consultants and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of an Associate’s degree in computer science or related occupational field. Alternately significant certifications in the field and/or experience. Experience sufficient to understand the diverse objectives and functions of the position, usually interpreted to require one (1) to three (3) years.
