Pay Range: $101,837 - $118,057 (hiring range)

Description: The Town of Exeter is seeking a Town Engineer to provide technical support to town government-related engineering issues. Administers capital projects relating to water, sewer, drainage, roads and bridges. Reviews plans for the planning board. Designs, prepares specifications and inspects municipal construction projects. Prepares asset management programs to maintain infrastructure. Interacts with consultants, contractors, elected officials, residents and coworkers for successful projects. Assumes responsibilities in the absence of the Public Works Director.
Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with additional training in pavement management and hydraulic modeling. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the position usually interpreted to require a five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in public works operations and municipal engineering. Possession of, or ability to readily obtain, New Hampshire Professional Engineer registration.
