7/19/24 - Curb installation is complete. The rapid flash beacon was installed at Riverwoods Dr and White Oak Dr.  Guardrail should be reinstalled before this week is over.  Next week's work will consist of:  placing concrete for the walkway tipdowns; grinding shoulder seams in preparation of paving; finish paving for the sidewalk and remaining roadway shoulders.

7/15/2024: Construction for the Webster Ave Pump Station and Force Main Upgrade Project will begin on Monday, July 15th.  The Town's contractor, Northeast Earth Mechanics, LLC., will mobilize to the construction site, install erosion controls, prepare the site for construction activities, and install sheeting for the new wetwell and valve vault. Typical working hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  Noise and vibration from trucks and heavy equipment are expected. The Town has hired the engineering firm, Wright-Pierce, to assist with construction observation and administration. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this important project.

5/6/2024 - Winter Street/Columbus Ave/Railroad Ave Intersection: The contractor cut the old pavement last week and will remove this pavement debris today. On Tuesday, May 7th Bell and Flynn will install two new catch basins, and it is anticipated that the granite curbing will be installed on Thursday, May 9th. Please be cautious around the crews working in the area. This schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather.

3/28/24:  Water mains will be flushed from April 14^th to May 3^rd, 2024.  Flushing will be performed at night during the first week from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 am, and during the day for weeks 2 & 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

2/23/2024: Late last night (2/22/2024) a water main break occurred at the intersection of Gary Lane and Court Street. Water service was shut off and remained off for some time during the repair. Residents in this area may experience discolored water.

The care and upkeep of road infrastructure is an important task of the Highway department. However, not all of the road network is under Exeter's authority. Roads, bridges, and other pieces of infrastructure fall under a varied group of organizations or individuals that provide maintenance.

Exeter, NH - July 13th, 2023: On Wednesday, July 12th , work began on pulling the first of two 12-inch sewer siphon barrels through the 18-inch pilot hole successfully drilled earlier this month.

During heavy rains, stormwater can enter the municipal sewer system which can cause the system to surcharge and overflow; this is known as a Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO). The wastewater collection system wasn't designed to handle large amounts of water accumulated during heavy rain. A CSO divers
