Fall 2023 Update from Public Works

Exeter, NH - November 6th, 2023: As Fall gets underway in Exeter, here's a few helpful reminders from the team over at Public Works:

  • Leaf pick-up will be Thanksgiving week and trash and recycle pick-up will be delayed 1 day because of Thanksgiving. More information can be found on our Curbside Collection page.
  • Composting is available through a partnership with Mr. Fox Composting. Residents can bring compost to the Transfer Station on Cross Road free of charge. 
  • The Town has partnered with Helpsy to offer free curbside pick-up of clothing and household textiles to residents. So far the Town has diverted 16,456 lbs of clothing from the landfill. Residents can schedule pick-ups in advance at www.helpsy.co/exeternh. Transfer Station Info:

The Transfer Station attendant who just so happens to be a Veteran will continue to operate the Transfer Station during normal hours on Friday and Saturday, November 10th and 11th. Transfer Station permits are required for MANY items. Please be aware of what is needed before you arrive. The helpful a-z how to dispose of list is a great tool to use.
