CAUTION - Children Should Not Play in Streets or Snowbanks
Accumulating snow during winter storms often creates a magical world for children to play in. The mountainous snow banks created by plow trucks can be easily transformed into snow forts, caves, and of course miniature sledding hills. Allowing children to play in or in close proximity of the Town streets can be extremely dangerous. Heavy equipment often fascinates children, but they may not understand the power of the equipment or the damage it may cause.
As snow accumulates and snow banks build, it often becomes necessary to remove the snow in the right of way. While this is normally not a hazard, it can be potentially deadly. If you allow your children to play in the snow banks near the roadway while hidden when the plow comes by, the results could be tragic.
Please educate your children as well as other parents!
