Maintenance
The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining the Town's public buildings including:
- Parks and Recreation Building and Pool house
- Town Hall
- Town Offices
- Senior Center
- Public Safety Complex (Fire & Police)
- Public Works Complex
- Train Station
- Powder House
- Simpson Estate
- Bandstand
- Historical Society
- Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities
- Pumping stations
Facility Maintenance is entrusted with the task of keeping all these sites up and running, along with providing the material support and repairs needed for Exeter's Government to be effective. While some of the town's facilities are new, other buildings such as the Town Hall have been around for more than 150 years. Maintaining this diverse collection of buildings requires the knowledge and understanding of contemporary building practices of the century craftsmanship.
