Epping Road Water Tower Maintenance
Update 9/23/21: The water tower maintenance is complete and should be back online by next Wednesday, September 29th. Part of the maintenance process includes testing for any bacteria (24 hours after disinfection). Once the sample results are absent of any bacteria the tower will be back online.
Update 9/15/21: Beginning on Friday, September 17th, the Epping Road Water Tower will be offline for approximately 2 weeks to repair a valve as well as conduct interior cleaning maintenance. The water distribution system may experience fluctuating pressures due to the tower being offline. The Water Department will do its best to maintain adequate water pressures in the distribution system during this maintenance. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Epping Road Water Tower
The Epping Road Water Storage Tank was completed in 2008 to replace the previous storage tank in the area. The older tank was constructed in the 1950's to meet the growing water needs of the town. In recent reports, a new Epping Road Storage Tank was identified as a way to once again improve Exeter's water supply system.
The new Epping Road Water Storage Tank is a 1.5 million gallon water capacity standpipe used primarily for town drinking water and fire protection services. This new tank provided an increase of water pressure available to the Town and to the Fire Department.
