Lincoln Street Phase II Improvement Project

Sealed Bids for the construction of roadway and utility improvements on Lincoln Street, Daniel Street, and Tremont Street in Exeter NH (including full depth reconstruction and full depth pavement reclamation, sidewalk reconstruction, streetscape improvements, landscaping, lighting drainage, sewer, water improvements, traffic control, and site restoration) will be received by the Town Office, 10 Front Street, Exeter, NH 03822 until 2:00 pm, March 26, 2018 and opened at the Select Board meeting at 7 pm. 

An optional pre-bid conference will be held on March 15 at 10:00 am at the Department of Public Works, 13 Newfields Road, Exeter NH 03833.  Representatives of the Owner will be present to discuss the project. Addenda, as considered necessary by the Owner, will be transmitted in response to questions arising at the pre-bid conference.  Oral statements made at the pre-bid conference may not be relied on and will not be binding or legally effective.

Completion time for the project will be calculated as 200 calendar days from the date specified in the “Notice to Proceed”. It is anticipated that a Notice to Proceed will be issued on or before

April 16, 2018. Final Completion must be reached by within 30 days of Substantial Completion.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security made payable to the Town of Exeter in an amount of 5% of Bidder’s Bid price and shall be in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements included in the General Conditions of the contract. The selected bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the project price.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in any or all proposals, to reject any or all

proposals, or accept any proposal submitted for the project, as deemed by the Owner to be in its best interests based upon qualifications, experience, demonstrated ability to perform, cost, and other factors deemed by the Owner to bear on the successful outcome of the Contract.
